Seen by all. Known by one. · Built with FHE on Zama

The first encrypted NFTs on Ethereum.

Private by design. Every NFT mints sealed. Its art is yours to see from the first block: keep it sealed for good, or make it public when you choose. Its essence stays encrypted on-chain forever: only its holder can see it.

01 · Public by default

NFTs made everything public.

Every trait. Every stat. Every rarity rank, scraped the second a collection reveals, and often before. On a public chain an NFT can't keep a secret, so it never gets to have one.

02 · The fix

So we encrypted it.

Fungo Labs builds encrypted NFTs on Ethereum with Zama's FHEVM: fully homomorphic encryption, live on Ethereum mainnet. FHE lets a smart contract compute on data it can never read. The NFT itself stays public. What's inside is encrypted on-chain, not hidden on a server.

03 · The draw

Nobody picks what you get. Not even us.

At mint, the contract draws two 64-bit values with Zama's on-chain FHE randomness: a look and an essence. Both are encrypted from the instant they exist. No metadata server, no insider list, no back door.

8 tiles · 8 bytes. The essence is one 64-bit number: a byte for its class, four for its stats, one for its element, two held in reserve. The centre is empty. That's where its holder looks from.

04 · Two layers

Shareable art. Private power.

The look is the art: sealed at mint, yours to view any time, public only if you publish it. The essence is the power: its class, four stats and element. Encrypted for good. Only its current holder can view it.

No reveal function for the essence. Not for us, not for anyone.

Sell it, and your view ends inside the same transaction. Its new holder wakes it with one small transaction once the sale settles.

05 · Your call

Your art. Your call.

Every NFT mints sealed: the world sees the same mark on all of them. Look inside whenever you like; it's decrypted for you alone. Publish the art and its traits when you choose, or never: a sealed NFT trades sealed. Publishing is for good, proven by Zama's network and written on-chain. Only the holder can start it.

Only its holder can look inside. Not even us.

The genesis art is sealed, even here. These are stand-ins.

06 · Hidden, not useless

Secrets that still play.

Zama's FHE lets contracts compute on encrypted data without ever reading it. That opens the door to games with real hidden stats, where a duel is settled without either side revealing anything. Things a transparent NFT can't do.

11 · Questions

Asked, answered.

What is an encrypted NFT?

An NFT whose content is encrypted on-chain with fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). On the outside it's a normal NFT: it sits in your wallet, anyone can see who holds it, and it trades on the marketplaces you already use. What's inside stays encrypted, and only its holder can view it.

What's public, and what's private?

The NFT itself and its holder are public, as with any collection. Every NFT mints sealed: its art (the look) is visible only to its holder, until the holder publishes it, if they ever do. The essence (class, four stats and element) is encrypted for good and can be viewed only by its current holder.

When do I see my NFT's art?

Right after minting, and any time after: its art and its essence are decrypted for you alone. The public sees the art only if you publish it.

Do I have to reveal my NFT?

No. Keep it sealed as long as you like, sell it sealed, or publish its art and traits whenever you choose. Only the holder can publish: not us, not a marketplace. Publishing is for good.

What does OpenSea show?

A sealed NFT: the mark and “Revealed: No”. A published one: its art, its traits and “Essence: Encrypted”. The essence itself is never public.

Can anyone make my essence public?

No. Nobody can make an essence public on-chain: not us, not a marketplace, not you. You can still share your own essence however you like; the NFT keeps it private.

I bought an NFT. Why can't I see inside yet?

A purchase on Ethereum becomes final after about 13 minutes. Its content wakes for you after 96 blocks (about 19 minutes): then one small transaction, and its art and essence are yours to see. Until then you can't view its sealed content, and the seller's view has ended (in two rare cases, one transaction later: see below). Art that was already published stays public.

I sold my NFT. Can I still see inside?

No. The sale ends your view inside the same transaction. In two rare cases, ending it takes one more transaction, which anyone can send: a sale in the same block as your last viewing change, or a pause of the encryption network. Our keeper sends it automatically. What you saw while you held it stays with you.

How much does the whitelist mint cost?

Nothing. You pay only the gas. One NFT per approved account, during the mint window before the sale. Spots nobody uses are never minted.

How does the sale work?

2,500 NFTs are sold after the whitelist mint, paid in cZAMA: Zama's confidential token. How the sale works is announced soon, on X first.

What is cZAMA?

The confidential version of the ZAMA token: its balances and amounts stay encrypted on-chain with Zama's FHE. You get it by shielding ZAMA on app.zama.org. The genesis sale is paid in cZAMA.

How are applications reviewed?

By hand, by the team. The team checks the four tasks on X in rounds; your answers show who you are. You can check your status any time on the application page.

What's a nominee?

Someone who is given a spot instead of applying for one. Nominees share the 500 free-mint spots with the whitelist. How nominations work is announced soon, on X first.

When do I connect my wallet?

Not now. The whitelist is made of X accounts, so applying takes only yours. A few days before the mint, approved accounts link the wallet they'll mint from, on a page here on fungolabs.org that we announce on X first. Anyone asking you to connect a wallet for the whitelist before then isn't us.

How do I know if I got in?

Your application page shows it as soon as the team publishes the decisions, and the list is announced on X. Until then it reads “In review”.

Can I change my application after sealing it?

No: a sealed application and its answers stay as they are. If something is really wrong, message @fungolabs on X.

Will you DM me?

Never first. Nobody from Fungo Labs will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key, anywhere. Our mint happens only on fungolabs.org, and every official link is posted here and on X before you need it. Applying never asks for a wallet or a signature. Anyone who DMs you about your spot isn't us.

What is Zama?

Zama builds the FHEVM, the fully homomorphic encryption technology that lets Ethereum smart contracts compute on encrypted data. Every part of the genesis runs on it: the draw, the holder's private view, publishing, and the sale in cZAMA. Fungo Labs is an independent team building on it.
